Two things God does not want us to pray for:

Yesterday, I attended a talk by Rev. Bishop Reed. It was such a blessing, and there were many miraculous healings and at least two people were delivered from demons. The power of God was manifest when the Word of God was preached. He was particular in mentioning the verse Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; He also brought out the difference between many religious practices that hinder our miracles and blessings. Jesus has done it all we have to believe and act. However, there was some talk on prayer and the thing that I found important was, the two things he mentioned that God would not have us pray for. We often waste a lot of time praying for these things. They are: 1. What God has already done and 2. What God has asked us to do.

WHO IS YOUR DADDY?

A seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg, TN. One morning, they were eating breakfast at little restaurant, hoping to enjoy a quiet, family meal. While they were waiting for their food, they noticed a distinguished looking, white-haired man moving from table to table, visiting with the guests. The professor leaned over and whispered to his wife, "I hope he doesn't come over here." But sure enough, the man did come over to their table. "Where are you folks from?" he asked in a friendly voice. "Oklahoma," they answered. "Great to have you here in Tennessee." the stranger said. "What do you do for a living?" "I teach at a seminary." he replied. "Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I've got a really great story for you." And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat down at the table with the couple. The professor groaned and thought to himself, ...

My dearest Pet Rabbit

It was just 2 years back in the month of August, that the man who cleans our house, brought in this rabbit to me. He had found it in the children's park next to my house. It was such a tiny thing and shivering, maybe coz it was afraid......I don't know. For all that, I am not very fond of animals, although I love to watch them. I would not have a pet for sure....but since the man told me it has nothing to eat.....I could at least have it in my backyard (where there was a lot of grass). I agreed... A week passed by, and the rabbit lived in my backyard, sometimes coming up to the kitchen door. I gave it a piece of carrot sometimes. One evening, when it was dark, my son spotted a cat in the backyard. I shouted out for fear that the rabbit it killed. But my husband came to the rescue and drove the cat away. After this I did not want to leave the poor animal outside. I brought it in immediately. It was not a wise thing to do, as I found my carpets wet the next mo...

Movies

Two movies I saw this week. Both oldies, well known 'Godfather' - part I and 'Some Like it Hot'. 'Godfather', as all know is a serious movie. The life I live is certainly different from the one shown in this movie. But I know that there are people who live such lives as these. Wonder how miserable they must be. They do not seem to have any fun only blood shed and selfish ambition. 'Some Like it Hot' is a good one. Sent me laughing even after the show. I think such movies do good to health as 'laughter is the best medicine', as proven by many. In fact I watched this one twice. Worth watching.
